Recipes worth keeping.
Keep the recipes that make you feel alive.
Keep the memories alive with them.
Rita’s Recipes is a private Family Recipe Book for the food, handwriting, people and stories that mean more than a list of ingredients.
Today’s favourite recipe may become tomorrow’s family recipe.
Private by default. Only the family you invite.

Why Rita’s Recipes exists

This is my Grandma Rita.
Like so many families, some of our happiest memories were made around food: the recipes she cooked, the things she made without ever needing to measure much and the dishes that simply tasted like home.
But over time, some of those recipes were lost.
One of them was Grandma Rita’s cheese pasties. They were amazing. We’ve tried to recreate them ourselves more than once, but they’re never quite the same. Somewhere along the way, the exact recipe disappeared, and with it, a little piece of our family history that we can remember, but can’t quite reproduce.
That is why Rita’s Recipes exists.
We wanted to create a place where family recipes don’t get lost in old notebooks, drawers, text messages or memories. Somewhere you can preserve not only the ingredients and method, but also who a recipe came from, the story behind it and the people and memories connected to it.
And just as importantly, we want to make those recipes easy to share.
Because recipes are meant to travel between generations, across families and amongst friends. The more we share them, the more of those stories survive.
Rita’s Recipes is about keeping the recipes that matter, sharing them with the people you love and making sure the next generation doesn’t have to wonder how Grandma Rita used to make it.
Don’t lose it. Pass it down.
